Here is the final post about Art 2 and their theme of Observation. As a class we talked about different ways of observing to create art. The obvious is to set up a still life. We also talked about observing the world around us and observing human action. We watched 2 videos (here and here) that dealt with this type of observation. One student created his work based on his observations of what he saw in the night sky every night for a week at midnight. Most other students did set up a still life. If you didn't catch part 1 or part 2 of this observation artwork blog posts, check them out...there are some other cool works done by my Art 2 students.

The Living Painting Experiment
The living painting is a 36"X40" canvas that the students are free to work on and add to as they have extra paint or are finished with their work. The work will continue to evolve as students add and cover.
