For our event, we sold tickets for $10, with all the money raised going to Shepherd's Heart. The recipient of the ticket was able to get a simple meal of a fabulous tasting soup, cornbread, and a cookie. The culinary students outdid themselves and created three soups--broccoli cheddar, beef vegetable, and creamy potato. Ticket holders also got to choose a bowl from the selection and were able to keep it and take it home.
I am so proud of all the students and faculty involved in our event. It is heartwarming that students and faculty gave their time and talent for such a wonderful cause. I can't wait to give the check for $850 to Shepherd's Heart. I am sure it will come in handy this holiday season.
